There is a way that you can figure out what the notes are in any chord in seconds!!! In fact, you can probably figure out what the notes are in any chord faster than you can by using this tool!!!
The name of the chord is actually like a code that tells you what notes are
in the chord!! You just have to understand the code. For example when I see a chord
name like Ab13+, or CMaj9, even though I have never ever seen or played the chord before, then name is enough information for me to play the chord!!!!.
EXAMPLE:
Most chords are made by using the following sequence of odd numbers in this order:
1 3 5 7 9 11 13 15 17 19 21
These numbers correspond to the number of the note in the scale that we are in. (Dont panic let us explain!!).
As an example lets look at the C Scale

So if we wanted to know what are the Notes in a C Maj 9 chord, The "Maj 9" part
of the name simply tells us to use all the notes corresponding to the numbers in that sequence up to number 9..
The C in the name "C" Maj 9, tella us to use the notes that are numbered in the C Scale. Figure 1 is the C Scale, so those are the numbers that we use.
So to make a C Maj 9 we are going to use the notes numberd 1 3 5 7 and 9 in Figure 1.
So, in looking at Figure 1. Notes 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 corresponds to the notes C E G B and D. Therefore a CMaj 9 is made from the notes C E G B and D.
